The Nanaimo Ladysmith School District is saying some field trips and special events like graduation ceremonies could be cancelled because of the teacher job action.
In a letter to parents, SD 68 says other events or activities may have to be rescheduled.

Elementary Zone and District Track and Field Meets have already been cancelled, along with the Aboriginal Student Graduation Celebration scheduled for May 22nd.
If teachers move to what they’re calling Stage 2, it would mean rotating walkouts. The BCTF is required to give two days’ notice.
So far there’s been no similar advisory from the Sunshine Coast School District.
