Just 12 hours after the shocking and tragic shooting at a Western Forest Products mill in Nanaimo, more violence in the city.
A man was stabbed at a home in 500 block of 6th street.
Nanaimo RCMP say it happened around 7, and when police got to the home they found a 38 year old man suffering from life threatening injuries.
A 37 year old man was arrested at a nearby townhouse. He’ll be in court today on charges of attempted murder.
These neighbours say the men both lived in the same multi-unit building, but they’re not sure what sparked the fight.
RCMP say the victim was airlifted to Vancouver General Hospital. There’s been no update on his condition this morning
