Restoration of popular heritage facility in Sechelt nearing completion

The full restoration of the Rockwood Lodge is nearly complete.

The lower level of the facility was flooded and shut down after it ran into some major drainage issues.

Siobhan Smith with the District of Sechelt says the heritage building is quite popular and the district is excited the community will be able to fully use the facility again soon.

Smith says they also received a $65 thousand grant from the province to help out with the renovation costs.
The District will be hosting a public unveiling of the project on May 17th.
