The rate increase affects all passes, including the 16 hour parking for commuters as well as the monthly pass.
BC Ferries spokesperson Deborah Marshall explains the reasoning behind the increase.
This is the first time in 15 years the parking prices have gone up in the Langdale parking lot.
The 16 hour pass will be $3.00 instead of $2.25. A 1-day pass is going from $4.50 to $6.00. 2-day passes will be increasing by $3.
A 3-day pass is going from $13.50 to $18. A 4-day pass will cost $24. A 5-day pass will now cost $30 and monthly passes will set you back $75.
