A potential homeless shelter has been identified in Gibsons.
The site is at 599 Gower Point Road, formerly known as Church on the Rock.
Gibsons Councillor Silas White says there’s interest from both BC Housing and Rain City Housing to operate the shelter but the public’s help is needed.
The new homeless shelter in Sechelt has been running at capacity. White says he’s aware of people who are still living in tents in Gibsons and he hopes that will change soon.
