The emergency homeless shelter at St Hilda’s will be running for another month as the original contract was up today. (Nov 1st)
Reverend Clarence Li says the request came from Raincity Housing and they’re hoping this will be a temporary solution until the Provincial government and the District of Sechelt figure out a good spot for a shelter.
Li is hoping a solution will be figured out soon, as 15-20 people are sleeping on the floor, in a room that was built for 10 people, on a nightly basis.
