Sunshine Coast RCMP is investigating a hit and run.
The incident happened Monday, October 30 around 5 in the afternoon on Highway 101, Gibsons.
The man who was hit told police he’d been crossing northbound when a burgundy Dodge Grand Caravan with an older driver who was a man and older female passenger made a right hand turn off Payne Road onto the highway and struck him at slow speed.
The man who was hit managed to jump up and hit the hood, sustaining minor injuries.
The driver, who made eye contact with the pedestrian, did not stop to offer assistance and continued on northbound. If you witnessed this incident you’re encouraged to call the RCMP.
