The Town of Gibsons is not feeling the support from the Ministry of Health.
During this week’s council meeting, the Mayor voiced displeasure noting that they went to the UBCM convention hoping to get support for the long-term health care facility proposal by Trellis, but got the opposite of that.
Wayne Rowe says the local long-term health care situation is critical and it needs to be addressed.
Rowe says no official decisions were made but they left the meeting with the feeling that the province won’t be supporting the idea of a 128 long-term care facility
