More than 190 paddlers from the Sunshine Coast and beyond will begin their five-day canoe journey today going from Egmont to Vancouver.
Russ Greaves with the Gibsons Paddle Club says the journey is in conjunction with a cross-nation canoe journey that’s being held by the Canadian Voyageur Brigade Society.
And this is one of the only two events in B.C.
The journey will wrap up on Sunday in Vancouver with a ceremony.
