BC Ferries is hoping for another smooth and safe summer out on the water.
Captain Jamie Marshall says boat traffic is going to increase and they want to alert recreational boaters to plan ahead before they head out.
Marshall says boaters should remember that it takes two to three ship lengths to stop a ferry so boaters need to focus on passing their vessels at a safe distance.
