40,000 to descend on Cowichan Valley

Upwards of 40,000 people are expected to attend the Sunfest music festival this weekend.
Festival spokesperson, Emmalee Brunt says the site has 1,700 campsites but there are day visitors as well…..
 
 
Fire is a big concern at the site, campfires are banned as are propane fire pits and charcoal cooking devices.
