Sunshine Coast tourism gets major boost

Over 50 regions in B.C. are apart of a program that allows hotels and motels to charge guests a 2% tax on the purchase price of their stay.
Celia Robben, President of Sunshine Coast Tourism says our region has finally been approved to implement the same thing.
With this program in place, she expects it to generate $250, 000 a year. And that money will be used to promote the Sunshine Coast region.
