A Nanaimo man has been charged following a significant drug bust in Tahsis.
Nootka Sound RCMP searched a vehicle and found a large amount of packaged marijuana ready for distribution.
During the arrest, the suspect resisted and tried to flee from police.
29-year-old Mario Kurtakis from Nanaimo is now facing charges including:
-Production of a controlled substance
-Possession for the purpose of trafficking
-Resist arrest
-Escape from lawful custody
-Flight from peace officer.
He has been released on strict conditions and will be appearing in court on April 15th.
After the arrest, RCMP searched a home in Tahsis, where they found and dismantled a large marijuana grow op.
