Oceanside RCMP say a 46 year old suspect was taken to hospital under police guard after an incident Wednesday night that left three people with stab wounds.
Police say there was a 911 call from house in the 1100 block of Ormonde Road in Qualicum Beach around 7:20. The caller reported people had been attacked with a weapon, and it was still happening.
When officers got to the home they found three people with serious wounds, including the suspect, whose injuries are thought to be self-inflicted.
A 72 year-old woman and a 76 year-old man were also taken to hospital with what RCMP are calling “critical” injuries.
Investigators say the three people involved know each other.
Oceanside RCMP are also saying they’ve reported to case to the Independent Investigations Office, because their officers “may have been present or engaged with an individual at a time where a serious injury occurred.”
