It’s a chance to help out a good cause, and protect your identity.
Nanaimo and District Crime Stoppers is hosting a shredding day on Saturday, Nov 14.
It’s happening at the Woodgrove Save On Foods from 10:00am-4:00pm
Nanaimo RCMP Constable Gary O’Brien is the Crime Stoppers Coordinator. He says shredding personal documents is one of the easiest ways to thwart identity thieves.
The shredding is being done by Island Document Storage and Shredding, which is donating its services.
O’Brien says they’re asking for a minimum donation of $10. They’ll also have to barbecue set up.
The event is happening rain or shine.
