Islands Trust hoping for concrete action at Paris climate summit

The Islands Trust says it wants the Prime Minister to take a constructive role at the upcoming UN Climate conference in Paris, and come back with a binding agreement to reduce Canada’s emissions.

And, the Trust put it in writing in a letter to Justin Trudeau.

Chair Peter Luckham says Trustees are seeing climate change up close, through things like extreme weather and rising sea levels.

The Islands Trust is also inviting Trudeau to visit the area… to see first-hand the work it’s doing at the local level, and the impact climate change is already having on the Islands.
