Deadline day for VIAHA parents to complete respect course

The deadline for parents of players with the Vancouver Island Amateur Hockey Association to complete an on-line respect course has been extended to Friday the 6th.

President Jim Humphrey says they allowed extra time because there were some technical issues.

After Friday, parents who haven’t finished the course will have their kids pulled until they do.

Humphrey says the Association is also now in a position to start banning unruly parents.

Humphrey says about 90 per cent of the Association’s parents had already taken the workshop by the original October 31st deadline.
