Nanaimo City Councillors got a bit of a lecture Monday night from the President of the Chamber of Commerce.
Kim Smythe shared the Chamber’s report card on how it thinks council is progressing on various projects.
He say many are either not started, or stalled, and he blames Council’s inability to communicate effectively and respectfully.
Councillor Bill Bestwick agrees with some of Smythe’s observations, but not all of them.
Councillor Ian Thorpe says they do have some issues to overcome.
Councillor Bill Yoachim suggests they need to sit down as a group to define their personal priorities; which is what they plan on doing when they meet with a mediator on Wednesday.
