Nanaimo Councillors will be sitting down with a mediator this week to see if they can overcome some issues which are holding them back around the Council table.
Mayor Bill McKay says it’s clear they’re having some problems, and a recent petition launched by the Chamber of Commerce has put them in the spotlight.
He says Councillors have already met one-on-one with the mediator, who was hired by the City.
McKay says they’re scheduled to meet as a group with the mediator on November 4th.
Meanwhile, the Chamber’s petition on change.org has topped 300 signatures.
