The run-up to Sunday’s election call saw a flurry of federal funding announcements.
Including one for a project in the Town of Gibsons.
The Town is getting some 633-thousand dollars from Ottawa, and another 633-thousand from the province for upgrades to the waste water treatment system.
Gibsons will cover the rest of the 1.9-million dollar cost.
Mayor Wayne Rowe says, “The Town of Gibsons is very appreciative to receive this major grant, as it will allow us to continue focusing our efforts and resources on responsible asset management.”
