Island Health’s Aboriginal Employment Program has received some major recognition.
It has been named one of Canada’s Best Diversity Employers for a third time.
Program Coordinator Steve Sxwithul’txw says they’ve worked hard to let Aboriginal people know about the many opportunities within Island Health.
Sxwithul’txw says they hired their 500th employee who self-identifies as Aboriginal in 2014, and they’re hoping to double that number by 2020.
