Another supportive housing project has officially broken ground in Nanaimo .
The four-storey building on Boundary Crescent will include forty-one units for men and women who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
It will be managed by Nanaimo Affordable Housing Society, with the Columbian Centre Society and Haven Society providing the programming and support to residents.
The province will put in $1.2 million every year to cover operating costs.
This is the fourth development under a partnership between the province and the City of Nanaimo and Mayor Bill McKay calls it an embodiment of the progress being made in the city.
