A group that wants to start a solar energy co-op on the Sunshine Coast is holding an event in Gibsons March 21st, to try to get more people interested.
Joanna Zilsel says the Gibsons Green Team and Sunshine Coast in Transition are bringing in experts in solar energy, conservation and running co-ops.
She says one important message they’ll have is that solar is already a success.
Zilsel says they’ve had nearly 200 people express an interest, but part of the idea this weekend is to see if there’s enough interest to set up a formal organization.
The event starts at 1:30 at the Gibsons and Area Community Centre.
