The Islands Trust Council has wrapped up a major business meeting on Gabriola Island…
Chair Peter Luckham says they approved a 2015-16 budget that includes 7.5 million dollars in spending, but no increase in taxes.
He says the meeting also included positive discussions with local First Nations.
Luckham says the meeting also attracted a lot of residents fro Islands around Trust area… who wanted to raise issues with the Council, including getting on board with the David Suzuki Foundation’s Blue Dot initiative and addressing Gabriola’s local transportation concerns.
