Cullen's "Take Back Our Coast" tour makes another swing through the region

The parade of high profile NDP MPs visiting the region continues.

Skeena – Bulkley Valley MP Nathan Cullen was in Duncan and Port Alberni Sunday as part of his “Take Back Our Coast” tour.

Cullen is trying to drum up support for bill C-628.

It would ban oil tankers in certain waters and change the National Energy Board’s hearing process.

Cullen says he’s especially keen to get support in Conservative ridings like Nanaimo-Alberni and West Vancouver Sunshine Coast, so those MPs will back the bill.

When C-628 was in front of Parliament last December the Conservatives said they’re already taking action on most of the issues, so there’s no need for new legislation.
