Oceanside RCMP say one missing man safe, search continues for a second man

Oceanside RCMP confirm a 32 year-old man missing since February 4th has now been located, but the search is gearing up for a second missing person in the same area.

Reports are that Paul DenHaan was found in his vehicle on a logging road, and is well.

Nanamo, Arrowsmith and Comox Valley SAR are now on the ground in the area around Englishman River Park looking for 58 year old Richard Norman of Errignton (above).

He was last seen by family on the morning of February 6th, at his home near the Park.

He’s white, 6 foot 3 tall, with a heavy build, very short buzz-cut white hair, hazel eyes.

Police and Norman’s family are especially concerned because he suffers from a brain injury as a result of a car crash in past.  He also has severe scarring on the left side of his forehead

RCMP say Norman is probably on foot and could be anywhere in the Park or the surrounding wilderness.  If you’ve seen Norman or have any information call Oceanside RCMP at (250) 248-6111
