Sunshine Coast RCMP are jumping a bit deeper into social media, and making a few other changes to how they keep in touch with the community.
The detachment recently started a Twitter account (@COAST_RCMP), something several larger detachments, like Nanaimo, are already doing.
And Constable Harrison Mohr says they’re also going to start a “Question the Constable” feature. He says people can e-mail or Tweet questions.
People will be able to check out the answers on the detachment’s website.
Mohr says website visitors will also see a new format for the weekly incident report, with more information to give the public a better picture of crime trends in the community.
