Wilson goes ahead with lawsuit

Gordon Wilson has filed a 5 million dollar defamation lawsuit against Premier John Horgan and two other NDP politicians.
In the suit, Wilson accuses Horgan, Jobs Minister Bruce Ralston and Powell River NDP MP Rachel Blaney of unfairly disparaging the work he did after being hired by Christy Clark’s Liberals to promote the province’s LNG industry in 2013.
The NDP fired Wilson shortly after taking power in B.C. on August 1st.
Wilson took issue with comments made by Horgan and, allegedly by Ralston and Blaney to the effect that there was little to show for the years of work Wilson put in.
All three have since apologized, but Wilson says the statements they made have harmed his reputation and ability to earn a living.
