Environment Canada says the risks from the heat are greatest for young children, pregnant women, older adults, people with chronic illnesses and people working or exercising outdoors.
We should watch for the effects of heat illness which includes swelling, rash, cramps, fainting, heat exhaustion, and heat stroke.
People should drink plenty of water, stay in a cool place and never leave people or pets inside a parked vehicle.
