The Town of Ladysmith is working to extend a deal it has with Comox so it can continue to send its bio solids to the sewage facility there.
Ladysmith has been shipping bio solids there for the last 4 and a half weeks but the deal is running out.
Mayor Aaron Stone says there have still been some complaints about a foul odour from their public works yard….
Stone says if Comox won’t take the bio solids there is a back up plan.
In the meantime, Ladysmith continues to work through the regulatory process to develop a new site for its bio solids.
