The Gibsons Marina will be raising their Blue Flag June 4th a flag that was handed over by Environmental Defence Canada.
Klaus Fuerniss is the owner of the Marina and he’s proud because not many marinas get this blue flag.
Fuerniss says the application process to get the blue flag was tough, but worth it at the end.
The application process took 8 months, but he feels his team at the marina has become stronger due to the all the challenges they faced while applying for the eco-certification.
They’ll be raising the flag at 10:00 am and the ceremony is open to the public.
