A new Regional District of Nanaimo program is targeted at kids and is meant to promote the option of riding the bus.
Darren Marshall, Manager of Transit Operations with the R.D.N. says the Kids Ride Bus Program is offered to children from Kindergarten to Grade 5.

The program is, in part, meant to encourage students to consider their transportation options as they get older and learn how they impact the community and the environment.
