Officials from Nanaimo’s Loaves and Fishes Food bank are going in front of Nanaimo’s newly elected City Council today… with a request they made just before the election.
They need help to get new warehouse space.
When he was last in front of Council, Peter Sinclair of Loaves and Fishes said they’re facing a bit of a time crunch
Loaves and Fishes needs 500-thousand dollars for the new space. They’d like the City to consider 275-thousand in grants, or ongoing operating funds of 4-thousand a month, which would free up other money.
