Nanaimo City Council is going to have a new look after the swearing in ceremony next month, and their surroundings might have a new look too.
Council is set to debate changes to the seating arrangements.
A Governance Review released a year ago suggested it would be more productive to have councillors sit in a semi-circle, or horseshoe. That’s because they’d be closer together and talking to each other and not the audience.
Council has already approved it in principle, now they have to decide if they’re OK with the price tag of approximately 4-thousand dollars.
If rearranging the furniture gets the nod it would be done next month.
