Mayoral candidates making final push for support

It’s the day of reckoning tomorrow in municipalities across the province, with voters poised to decide who gets to lead for the next four years.
In Nanaimo, 10 candidates have been jockeying to be the city’s next mayor.
Incumbent John Ruttan says he has some unfinished business he wants to see through to completion.
Councillor Bill McKay says if elected as mayor, he’d give residents a chance to have more input, through public forums.
More public forums are also on Brunie Brunie‘s priority list, along with growing more food locally.
Check out the Civic Elections section of our website for details on the other mayoral candidates in Nanaimo.
