Police gang enforcement squad makes arrests on Vancouver Island

The Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of BC made several arrests this month on Vancouver Island, seizing drugs, cash, and weapons.

Multiple arrests were made in Langford by the Uniform Gang Enforcement Team, involving drugs such as GHB, methamphetamine, fentanyl, and cocaine.

Police also seized cell phones and cash.

In Nanaimo, two suspects were arrested in separate traffic stops and officers seized pre-packaged drugs, scales, and cash.

Corporal Sarbjit Sangha of the CFSEU says over the three days of enforcement, they not only seized a significant amount of street level drugs, cash and weapons but, also made drug traffickers very aware that they were being watched.

The investigation remains ongoing.
