A new community hall is planned for Connor Park in Halfmoon Bay and site preparation work will begin in the next few weeks.
The Sunshine Coast Regional District says utility work will include a new water service, electrical connections and septic upgrades for the hall.
Residents on Northwood Road will receive notification ahead of the scheduled work because water service installation will affect the road.
A older structure once used as a washroom and the old pit toilet will be fully decommissioned.
The SCRD says that demolition work will be done in a way to ensure trees bordering the existing pit are not disturbed.
The district says as work proceeds there will temporary changes to parking availability at the site.
