Volunteers are being asked to join the District of Sechelt’s Advisory Planning Commission to help council.
Vacancies have been opened for a two-year term, and according to the district people who have an interest in the community should consider applying by writing a letter of interest.
“Members will have an interest in their community and ideally expertise in community planning, environmental issues, social planning and urban design,” they say. “Consideration will be given to geographic representation, occupation, related experience and demonstrated community service.”
The deadline for submission is Jan. 22, at 4:30 p.m.
The commission makes recommendations to council on matters respecting land use, planning, and proposing amendments and initiatives related to the OCP and Zoning Bylaw.
