BC Transit offers free service for Remembrance Day

BC Transit and the CVRD say they’ll be providing free service for all Veterans and Canadian Forces members in the week leading up to Remembrance Day.

It will be offered between Nov. 4 to 10, and BC Transit says it will also include HandyDART services and all local routes.

They add changes were made to the operating schedule on Nov. 11, with service on local routes operating on a Sunday schedule for local routes, and HandyDART schedules operating on a Saturday schedule.

Routes servicing Eagle Heights, Ladysmith, Youbou, Honeymoon Bay and interregional routes will not operate on Remembrance Day.

BC Transit is also encouraging everyone to use the Umo App, Good Transit, or any other app of their choice for bus-tracking and planning during these times.
