The son of a man who died on a logging road near Egmont last year has been charged with first-degree murder, according to RCMP.
On September 23 last year Sunshine Coast RCMP responded to a report of a suspicious death, after 58-year-old Henry Doyle was found with serious injuries on the Klein Lake Forest Service Road. First responders arrived on scene and tried to save his life, but Doyle died from his injuries.
He had travelled to the area on his dirt bike, which was found near his body.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team took charge of the investigation and on Friday, announced that 26-year-old Jackson Doyle has been charged in relation to the homicide and is now in custody.
Henry Doyle was from Vancouver, but had recreational property on the Sunshine Coast.
