The Sunshine Coast is looking for funding to afford a new fire engine.
Sunshine Coast Regional District (SCRD) is proceeding with an Alternative Approval Process (AAP) to borrow $1.5 million to replace a fire engine in the Gibsons and West Howe Sound Fire Protection service.
The loan is to be repaid over a 10-year period and not exceeding it.
AAPs require the approval of electors for the SCRD to take out a long-term loan, so forms can be submitted if you are against borrowing the money.
Electors against the approval can find the elector response form online at the SRCD’s website, or at their office.

Forms must be submitted by mail or in person to the SCRD’s office by Monday, July 15, before 4:30 p.m.
