New affordable homes for members of the shíshálh Nation are finally open in Sechelt.
Called the “House of Clans,” the new development provides 34 units thanks to a partnership between the nation, province, and federal government.
Chief Lenora Joe says they are much-needed, and are just the start of new housing planned for the nation.
The building has different types of apartments ranging from studio apartments to family-friendly three-bedroom units.
There’s also a large multi-purpose room, conference area, community kitchen, and office space. The ground floor will also have retail space.
