It’s still not certain what caused a bizarre accident near Langdale, that injured 3 people.
Sergeant Steve Chubey of Sunshine Coast RCMP says they were using cable car style lift at a property on Tideview Road.
Chubey says the cable on the lift broke, sending the car hurtling about 75 meters down the embankment.
One person was able to jump off, two others couldn’t. All three were injured, but only one of them, a 24 year old man from Coquitlam, remains in hospital. He’s in stable condition at Vancouver General. The others were a 24 year old man from Vancouver and a 22 year old woman, also from Vancouver. Their names are not being released.
