Oceanside RCMP say a 17-year-old skateboarder from Coombs has died following a collision last week.
The teen was hit by a pickup while heading east in the 2100 block of the Alberni Hwy on Wednesday night. He was airlifted to Victoria General.
RCMP said it appeared the skateboarder veered in front of the truck, which was travelling in the same direction.
The name of the victim has not been released.
