Sunshine Coast RCMP looking for driver of van in incident at GACC

RCMP on the Sunshine Coast are hoping to hear from the driver of a van involved in a suspicious incident at the Gibsons and Area Community Centre.
Around  9am on July 21st  an 11 year old boy riding his bike outside the Community Centre was approached by a man driving a white work van.  He stopped to talk to the boy about a bike he’d found and had in the back.  He asked the boy if he wanted to see the bike.  The boy ignored him and the man drove off.
The van is a white, mid-2000s Chevrolet Express or GMC Savana cargo van, with a ladder on the roof, and windows on the back doors. The driver was a white man in his 40s or 50s, with dark, longer hair, and a full beard.
RCMP say until they get more information they’re going to treat the man’s behaviour as suspicious… they’re also praising the boy for doing the right thing by riding away and telling an adult what happened.
The driver of the van, or anyone with information about this incident should contact Cst Harrison Mohr, at (604) 885-2266.
