Sunshine Coast RCMP looking for tips in recent B&Es

Sunshine Coast RCMP say they’re looking for the same suspect in a pair of early morning break-ins in Sechelt.

Just before 3am on December 28th the alarms went off at the Sunshine Coast Pet Hospital. RCMP got there to find somebody had broken in. It doesn’t appear anything was taken, but police say the suspect used one of the computers to access pornography.

Corporal Steve Chubey says it wasn’t long afterwards that RCMP got a second call, from a nearby business.  A man had broken into Rent-it Canada and tried to steal a bicycle before being scared off.

Chubey says video surveillance and information from witnesses have investigators believing it was the same person and Sunshine Coast RCMP are asking anyone with information on one or both of these break-ins to call the detachment at (604)885-2266 or Crime Stoppers at 1(800)222-TIPS(8477)
