The Coastal Fire Centre is lifting the campfire ban; at least for a while.
It takes effect noon Wednesday July 23rd.
The Fire Centre says cool, rainy weather is allowing them to end the ban, but the long-term forecast is calling for hot and dry conditions after this weekend.
That means the ban will likely be reimposed before the August long weekend.
Any local government imposed bans take precedence over the Coastal Fire Centre rules.
