BC Hydro offering tips on staying cool and saving money

With record-breaking temperatures leaving people sweating across the province this week, BC Hydro is offering tips on staying cool and saving power.
BC Hydro’s Mora Scott says there are some simple ways to have a big impact on the temperature inside your home, and your bill.
Scott says hanging your laundry outside to dry will save about $50 a year, while eliminating extra heat from the dryer, and cooking outside on the BBQ keeps the stove and oven from raising the temperature inside your home. Having a cool shower that’s a minute shorter than your normal shower will save about $15 a year and help you beat the heat.
