Parksville man to face charges after break and enter

A Parksville man will soon be charged in connection with a break and enter early Monday morning at a home on Shelly Rd.

The homeowner awoke around 12:45am to find a stranger in his house, who had entered through a screened window. When confronted, the man fled out the front door.

Oceanside RCMP brought in a police dog, which found the suspect hiding in some nearby bushes. Cpl Jesse Foreman speaks for Oceanside RCMP.

The 25-year-old suspect was arrested without incident. Oceanside RCMP have recommended two charges of Break and Enter, and Breach of Undertaking. His next appearance in Nanaimo Provincial Court is July 22nd.
