3200 athletes and 800 coaches will soon be arriving in Nanaimo for the BC Summer Games.
The opening ceremonies are on Thursday at 7 at Rotary Bowl.
Summer Games VP Bruce Hunter says there are still some last minute things to take care of before the big day.
Hunter says people can “get in the games” by checking out the 19 different sports Friday, Saturday and Sunday at various locations, including Westwood Lake, Beban Park, and the Nanaimo Aquatic Centre.
Around a dozen Sunshine Coast athletes will be competing for the Vancouver – Squamish region team, while more than 100 from the Nanaimo area are part of the Vancouver Island – Central Coast team.
